Want to know everything there is to know about this car?

In their own words

I honestly can’t express enough how bad the experience has been with the Hyundai. It looks nice, on paper should be nice but obviously within fair expectations. Pay Hyundai money don’t expect a Bentley, sure but the least they could do is deal with a dangerous fault that has been an issue since it was 6 months old. Not just fob people off and hope that their ignorance to it goes unnoticed. The dealership couldn’t care less. They get defensive if you as much imply that their car has problems. Rude staff, poor quality car, horrible 3 years ownership. Oh and 30MPG at best, yep sounds fair to me. If my comment about the active bonnet system made you think what I meant, let me explain. My son was driving the car on a rather wet day, a car coming the opposite way went through a small body of water (the term Hyundai and the insurance company used throughout) with the reality being little more then a puddle. The water splashed over the car which caused the active bonnet system to deploy. What then ensued was an absolute joke. The dealer got the car recovered to them and claimed there was damage to the vehicle, funny that multiple breakdown agents had seen the car and noticed no damage at all (because there was none). End result, insurance claim. The only problem was the active bonnet system, no physical damage at all. Well until it went to Hyundai that is! Please no matter how cheap it seems, no matter how nice the whole deal looks don’t do it. New car ordered, not a Hyundai.

How reliable do you find the car?

So, where do I start. Gearbox issues Hyundai “know” about but don’t know how to fix. Loses its gear, clutch slipping issues, all sorts of problems. Always seems to happen at the most dangerous time’s as well. Engine that is progressively getting louder despite being serviced at Hyundai on schedule. No oil loss and no comments from dealer about any issues. Oh and don’t get me started on the active bonnet system that’s phased by water.

Does the car do everything you expected it to do?

How people claim Hyundai have improved is beyond me. I won’t be going near another one. Don’t feel safe driving it anymore. The car feels like it’s going to just break apart any day now.
