In their own words

Came across an excellent lease deal on the 1.0 SE Dynamic and went ahead. I was very pleasantly surprised upon delivery on how good it looked and the equipment. I received delivery late May 2021 so I had very little info regarding the car as this was very close to release and there werent any of these new seats around. I was the first to receive this in my area at the very least, most likely the wider area too.

Anyways, the vehicle has been sent back to the dealership several times for various issues: infotainment system problems, interior light having a mind if it’s own, emergency SOS unavailable, emergency break failure warnings, emergency brake being applied randomly whilst reversing for no reason, fog lights playing up, airbags not working warning, not going into gear occasionally, etc.

The infotainment system is quite frustrating when it plays up as it controls mostly everything in the car. I had issues such as the whole system not working due to Seats servers being down, kept being logged out of the profile system in the car and issues with the SeatMe app, and issues with the apple play. The vehicle has been sent back to the local dealership many times whom have been fairly helpful.
I have been more than understanding as it was a new car and I was one of the early customers, there were many teething issues but so many was a bit much.
Although, the last few months haven’t been too bad, I do get warnings come up once in a while. Saying all that, I do actually quite like the car.

Being a 1.0, I was expecting better MPG. I average 20 ish around town and 40 ish on the motorway. The best I’ve ever gotten is 47 MPG which has only happened once. My longer term average is 34MPG over the course of 20 months around 19k miles split around probably 65% motorway.
Pulling away from junctions and on the motorway, you do feel the lack of power but that’s something that shouldn’t come as a surprise being a 1litre. But around town, it is actually better than what I was expecting.

Exterior wise, it is a very smart good looking car. My car is in silver. One of my favourite things about the car is the headlights. The headlights are awesome at night, very nice, clear and sharp.

The interior is pleasant. The digital dash is superb, fairly configurable to my liking but it’s not too much or too little. There is a range of different displays, all very smart and fitting. Digital dash’s in the likes of a BMW aren’t very good in my opinion because you don’t have many options to change the displays.

Personally I would’ve like to have some more physical controls for the heating system. You can only control the volume and heating temperature away from the screen. The temperature control is split for both driver and passenger with the volume control in between. I think It would’ve been more suitable to have only one temperature control, fan speed control and the volume splitting it for the bare minimum controls as this would’ve been more practical.
The SE Dynamics don’t come with arm rests in the front or back which is a shame but that’s something you do get used to. It has decent storage areas in the car too.

Overall it’s a lovely car, I don’t know if I’ve just been unlucky or if the these seats aren’t very good. something like a golf, A3 are more expensive but they’re more expensive for a reason. You get what you pay for.
