  • Summary

What does this car say about you?

Not a lot in a far as being a petrol head or car enthusiast, but as far as being a responsible parent of a busy family and does not have huge funds for a car, it says a lot about you.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

They generally agree with what i have said, that it is not extremely fun to drive but is very practical and cheap.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Yes as it is great to live with and economical but i would definetly go for a bigger engine for a better driving experience.

What are you likely to buy next?

Not sure just yet, i don't plan on buying another Skoda but that is just because i want something different and is not the cars fault at all i would recommend it.

  • Driving it

    What's it like to drive?

I unfortunately only have the rather 'powerless' 1.2 ltr engine which does deliver excellent tax, insurance premiums and MPG; but, lacks power and acceleration at any RPM and gives virtually no response to full throttle at anything under 2500 RPM. Maybe the bigger engines will be more suitable and fun to drive; but, this 1.2 ltr is unsuitable to the heavier bigger estate version of the Fabia.

    What's it like to park?

Not a huge car so it is not impossible to park and will fit in most average parking spots but its not like trying to park a small hatchback like a Micra or a Peugeot 106. However it is not enough to put you off buying.

  • Living with it

    5 out of 5 5.0

Have you had any problems with the car?

I have had the car for 5 years now and i can honestly say that nothing has gone seriously wrong with the car. Last year in October the slave cylinder on the rear brake drum leaked brake fluid and needed replacing; However, this was very inexpensive to fix which is a good trait of the make of car.

What's most practical about your car?

Definetaly the most practical aspect of the car is its spacious interior with lots of leg room, in the back as well as the front, and the enormous boot space boasting a huge 480 liters and 1400 liters with the back seats down. After 5 years i have not come across anything that i have been unable to fit in the car.

    Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

The radio/stereo system is one of my favorite accessory of the car it does come with the multi-CD holder option which i don't have but even without this option the radio is excellent and offers a large amount of changeable options to the sound system such as bass, treble and fade.
